How to Install Your Root Quencher

  
  

The Root Quencher was designed and created to fi t the irrigation needs of your trees, shrubs, and plants.

As an innovative root water system, it can be easily installed and integrated into your existing water source to provide water and fertilizer directly to your garden

Step by Step Guide

  

1. Select a location just inside the drip line
(just inside where the branches extend
beyond the trunk of the tree)

  

2. Determine the depth of roots for that
variety of tree. Google for info or consult
your friends at Root Quencher

3. Find your nearest irrigation line (drip or
PVC) and determine the best way to connect.
If there is an existing spray head that services that tree you can simply remove
the spray head and tap into that riser

  

4. Consult the Root Quencher team for
proper connections needed for easy
installation

  

5. Dig a 4” diameter hole to the depth of
the roots (in climates where the ground
freezes in the winter please dig a 7”
diameter hole). If you cannot reach your
desired depth due to poor soil conditions,
not to worry, your Root Quencher
is adjustable! (for the 7” hole insert the
RQ and pack with ¾” gravel)

6. Rotate the 3 chambers on the Root
Quencher to match the depth of your
hole. Try to line up the holes for
optimal water distribution

  

7. There are many ways to connect your Root Quencher to a water source, preferably automated but not required:
1. Tap into a ½” or ¾” PVC line
2. Tap into an existing 1/2” drip irrigation line
3. Connect to a garden hose (and there are great, simple timers available to automate that!)

  

8. Dig a 4” diameter hole to the depth of
the roots (in climates where the ground
freezes in the winter please dig a 7”
