Root Quencher®
The original Root Quencher® is a deep watering device installed partially underground to deliver water directly to the root zone of trees, shrubs, and other deep-rooted plants. With adjustable depth (9” to 22”) and built-in flow control, it lets you customize watering based on soil and plant needs, while maintaining easy access for adding fertilizer.
By targeting water where it matters most and eliminating evaporation and runoff, Root Quencher® helps reduce water usage by over 50%.

How to Install your Root Quencher®
Dig a hole 2–3" from the base of the plant
Insert the Root Quencher and adjust the depth
Connect to your irrigation line or hose bib
Twist the cap to adjust water flow

FAQ's
Can I use a Root Quencher® if I don’t have a sprinkler system?
IDI sells the parts to connect the RQ to a hose bib and we even sell hose bib timers, so no, you do not need a sprinkler system.
Can I fertilize using the RQ?
Yes, the RQ is designed for liquid or granular fertilizers as well as pest treatments very effectively.
Can I install the RQ in a drip system?
Yes you can, ideally to a ½ drip line directly into the valve on the RQ. Be careful to balance volume between the RQ and the rest of the system
